Eva’s Point of View
The man stepped forward, his shoes crunching against the gravel. The shadow of his tall figure loomed larger as he approached, each step deliberate and slow, like a predator circling its prey. I gripped the steering wheel tighter, my pulse hammering in my ears.
Who the hell was he?
I scanned the parking lot quickly. It was empty, eerily silent except for the faint whistle of the wind. I was alone with this stranger, and every instinct screamed at me to drive away, but I couldn’t move.
He stopped just a few feet from my car, his face now visible under the dim parking lights. He was older mid-fifties, maybe with sharp features that gave him a look of cold calculation. His dark suit was immaculate, tailored perfectly to his tall, lean frame. Salt-and-pepper hair swept back from his forehead, and his piercing gray eyes locked onto mine through the windshield.
He raised a hand, a small, almost polite wave, as though we were old acquaintances meeting by chance
