“I’m here to take back the pendant.” Ethan’s tone was ice-cold, his eyes sharp and unyielding.
“I already said I’m not selling it. Not for any price.” Cassandra clenched her fists tightly.
Ignoring her, Ethan casually pulled out a check from his wallet and laid it on the table. Then, with a snap of his fingers, four or five men in black filed into the hospital room like shadows.
“Cassandra, you can hand it over and take this thirty million, or I can do it the hard way. Your call.”
“My answer hasn’t changed: you’ll never get it back. Not in this life.” Her voice caught for a second, but she pushed the words out, clear and icy. Eyes red-rimmed, she glared at him with deep-seated hate.
How far was he willing to go for Mara? All this, just for that woman?
“That’s out of your hands now.” Ethan's gaze darkened, and he gave the men a slight nod.
Immediately, two of them grabbed Cassandra. Her eyes reddened in fury, and she let out a cold, bitter laugh. “Adorable. You and Mara lose like coward
