Outside the hospital.
Lilah Hart and Clara Dawson strolled casually down a shaded path. It was quiet—just the occasional glimpse of an old lady pushing her husband out to catch some sun.
“Summer’s kind of over already. Doesn’t even feel that hot now,” Lilah said.
“Yeah, time flies,” Clara sighed softly.
“Clara, your work’s really blowing up lately. I even saw some foreign TV show talking about you—called you one of the most promising young artists out there.”
“There are a lot of talented artists nowadays. I’m just… doing okay.”
“Come on, you're always so humble.”
“No, really…” Clara smiled shyly, then paused in thought. “Actually, I’ve been considering changing things up a bit lately. My style’s been pretty consistent all along.”
Lilah raised an eyebrow. “Oh? Thinking of trying something new?”
“My paintings have always been bright and healing, but after doing that for so long, it starts to feel repetitive. I want to create something with more depth.”
