Chapter 60
Seeing the fork flying straight at him, Tristan raised his hand and caught it bare-handed.
The sharp tines sliced across his palm, blood slowly oozing out.
But he didn’t flinch.
Like the injury was someone else’s, not his.
“Elijah,” he heard his eldest brother say, tone a little cold, brows pulled tight. Clearly, Elijah didn’t support his younger brother pulling this whole ‘wounded hero’ scene.
“I’m fine, big bro. We did interrupt Mr. Brooks’ meal first. It’s understandable he’s mad.” Tristan smiled and stepped toward Vivian.
Alexander’ face was stone cold, eyes sharp as ice.

“Hold on,” Vivian suddenly raised a hand.
Tristan, who was halfway through pulling out a chair, froze. Looking up at her, he called, “Vivian?”
“My boyfriend doesn’t want you here, so… sorry.” Vivian smiled politely.
She had already tossed the bait—she was sure these four men were digging into her background.
