Alexander kept the speed just right the whole way, so it wasn’t long before they rolled into Ancheng. Sarah had barely gotten any proper rest lately with all the stuff happening around Grace’s illness. On the way here, the exhaustion finally caught up with her and she drifted off in the seat. Alexander quietly glanced at her sleeping face. Seeing how stressed and worn out she looked lately made his chest ache. But he felt so powerless—there was nothing he could really do to help. Just as they reached Ancheng, Alexander turned to wake Sarah up, only to find her already stirring on her own. He’d actually hoped she could sleep a bit longer, maybe get another thirty minutes in at least. “We’re here already?” Sarah rubbed her eyes, her voice still soft with sleep. “Yeah, just got here,” Alexander nodded. They got out and immediately started trying to track down Samuel Jenkins. Even though they knew he was somewhere in Ancheng, finding the top healer in town wasn’t going to be easy. A legend
