The cold metal of the gun against her forehead was enough to spark a deep loathing, but Sabrina kept a smile on her face as she looked at Cassian. "Controlling a smart woman's gotta be way more entertaining than bossing around an idiot, right?"
Cassian chuckled, low and indifferent, not bothering to answer. But the grip on the gun didn't budge one bit.
Sabrina let out a half-sigh. "Honestly, I should've told you earlier about... that thing."
His brow lifted slightly. "Oh yeah?"
She started slowly, "That night, when I woke up, I realized..."
He was watching, clearly waiting for her to finish, when without warning, she lunged. Her hands grabbed at his right arm, throwing all her weight into wresting the weapon from him. For a split second, she nearly pulled it free-but Cassian, sly and alert as ever, hadn't fully let his guard down. With a sharp twist of his wrist, he yanked it right back.
