Chapter 38
Cassian's face was as cold and unreadable as ever when he wrapped up his meeting.
He slid into the driver's seat, glanced at the understated yet clearly pricey watch on his wrist, and just started the car-completely ignoring Sabrina like she wasn't even there.
Sabrina felt like choking on her own anger. Seriously? He made her wait, then acted like she was part of the car upholstery. Who does that?
Though the car was moving fast, it stayed steady. Sabrina kept staring at him, half considering telling him to pull over. But the moment her eyes caught his sharp side profile, she suddenly felt her throat tighten.
Just then, she remembered what Clara said-that woman who used to be all smiles and into dressing up, even knitted a scarf as a gift. That tough, iron-gray yarn... definitely for a guy.
She never saw that scarf among Cassian's stuff when she was digging around in his closet.
That thought made her mood all tangled up. She sighed and gave up trying to talk, turning her face to the win
