Christian did exactly what he said he would.
He dropped Annie off downstairs at the apartment building, then drove away without lingering for even a second. The black Bentley quickly merged into traffic and disappeared.
Annie stood there for a moment before turning and stepping into the elevator.
When she opened the door, the familiar furnishings came into view.
