Davis’s POV:
That seemed to hit him hard.
Mr. Robinson looked around slowly, like he was finally realizing just how badly he’d messed up. A second later, his gaze dropped, frustration written across his face.
Thirty-one years old, and that was his first time doing something like this…
And he blew it.
“I’m not into guys who kneel at the drop of a hat,” Miss Taylor said coolly. Then she paused, gaze steady. “And if I like someone, I’ll go after them myself. But if I don’t… it doesn’t matter how persistent they are—it’s useless.”
She tilted her head, adding, “You want to chase me? Go ahead. Just know this—mind your boundaries, Mr. Robinson. Keep your dignity intact. I’m not interested in being the punchline of someone’s gossip party.”
Then she turned to me without a glance back. “Mr. Davis, Director Robert gave me the rundown. Please take us to the private jet area now. Thanks.”
I froze at the sudden cue, caught off guard. My eyes flicked to Mr. Robinson.
