"You're not even talking to me now?" Fiona Barrington was crying as she confronted Ethan Blackwood, her voice cracking. "Ethan, just tell me—have you fallen for Clara Walton?"
Ethan looked at her, his face unreadable as her teary eyes stared back at him. For a second, something flickered in his eyes, and his tone softened. "You're overthinking this."
"Just answer me! Have you fallen for her or not?" Fiona pushed harder, her tone sharp, trembling with emotion. "All these years, it was her by your side. Sure, you showed up to see me once a year, but your heart—your heart was always with her, wasn’t it?"
Completely losing control, Fiona screamed at him. She started tossing whatever she could grab. The lounge quickly became a mess—papers scattered, glass crashing to the floor.
Ethan's brows furrowed.
All of a sudden, Fiona clung to his arm. "Ethan, you’re not gonna leave me, right?"
"I won’t." Ethan finally spoke, his voice low but firm, zero warmth in his stare. "But stay away from Clara.
