Chapter 79
Graham Anderson couldn’t help but chuckle at Ethan Blackwood’s sulking.
After a couple of drinks, he finally yawned and asked lazily, “Fiona getting on your nerves again?”
This past month with Clara Walton missing hadn’t exactly gone the way Fiona expected either. Things weren’t great. Ethan’s head was clearly somewhere else—specifically, with Clara.
“I heard Fiona showed up at your office today. Y’all got into a fight and she stormed out?” Graham went straight to the point.
Well, not really ‘heard’—Fiona actually called him right after. She complained about Ethan’s whole attitude, and, of course, dragged Clara into it too. Graham knew Fiona had a flair for exaggeration, but even so, he’d been a bit shocked.
Ethan used to treat Fiona like she was everything, doting on her like she was made of glass. And now? He argued with her—openly—while Clara was still around. Yeah, if Fiona didn’t stir up some drama, she wouldn’t be Fiona.
But the look Ethan shot him next caught Graham off guard.
