#Chapter 9 Rings of the Past
I stand there, the tension between us thick and suffocating. “Alston will be home soon. He’ll help me,” I say, my voice steady but firm as I go to move around him towards the entrance to my apartment entrance.
Sirius’s eyes narrowed, a rebellious spark flickering within them as he steps in my way. “I said you have two choices: be taken upstairs or wait with me until Alston returns. There is no option three.”
I took a deep breath, gathering my resolve, and giving him my best glare. “Neither,” I square my shoulders. “Just leave, Sirius.”
He stares at me for a moment, his expression unreadable and contemplative.“Fine, since you won’t be reasonable,” he bends over and throws me over his shoulder. A gasp escapes my lips, and he grunts in annoyance. His voice is low in amusement, “ I will make the decision for you. Upstairs we go.”
“Sirius!” I immediately hit his back and kick my legs, but the jerking motion of kicking my legs causes pain to shoot up from my ankle, and I go limp, “
