Chapter 39 Drunk on Rage
Hansel stormed back to the guest room, anger burning in his chest. He slammed the door shut with a loud bang.
The main light was turned off, and only a single floor lamp glowed dimly, casting a suggestive haze across the room.
To his surprise, Evelyn was in his room. She was dressed in a sheer black lace robe that only covered what was necessary. Her curves were faintly visible through the thin fabric, while the heavy, sweet scent of perfume clung to the air.
It was obvious what she was after.
However, he wasn't in the mood at all. All he could think about was Nancy's cold, aloof face and her harsh words. "We're divorced. Even if you die, it has nothing to do with me."
How dare she? How dare she look at him with such disdain? How could she speak to him with such cruelty?
Then there was Sebastian… The thought of Nancy being dragged away by that man, her wrist firmly in his grip, made Hansel's temples throb. Jealousy roared through him, burning away the last of his reason.
