"Wait here, it won't be long before you find out how it all ends." Lucian glanced back at her and left the bedroom quickly, shutting the door behind him and locking it with a key he left in the lock. "No! Let me out!" Ariella banged on the door, panic rising. How was she supposed to step in and calm things down like this? She didn't want this-any of this. She pounded harder on the door, but Lucian's voice came from the other side, cold as ice. "If you can't keep quiet and just watch, don't blame me for going rough on him." His tone made her freeze. She backed away and slowly slid to the floor, leaning against the door, straining to hear what was going on outside. Lucian opened the door. Standing outside, Forrest no longer looked anxious. He gave the room a careful look. Not a single bodyguard in sight. "Where's Ariella?" he asked bluntly. "She's inside. I'll let you say a couple of words to her first.
