She opened the car door and started walking up the small hill, one step at a time. Dominic followed closely behind her. With each step, her heartbeat sped up. She was sure she'd been here before. The man who kept showing up in her fever dreams, he'd been lying right here on this hill-she was convinced of that. But no matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't picture his face. It was all a blur. Halfway up the hill, she suddenly stopped and crouched down. "This place... this has to be it," she murmured, almost to herself.
