Chapter 332
Mr. Anderson quickly realized his mistake and chuckled, "Getting old, my eyes aren’t what they used to be. Thought you were someone else. Hope you don’t mind, young man."
"Ah, it’s no problem, Mr. Anderson," Jake Taylor replied with a polite smile.
Though they’d never met, Jake had heard of Mr. Anderson’s reputation even overseas. Knowing he was Matthew Quinn’s grandfather didn’t change the fact that Jake genuinely respected the man who’d built a business empire from scratch.
Mr. Anderson gave a small nod, discreetly taking a few extra looks at Jake. Then, he turned to Lucas Cope and said, “Lucas, I’m exhausted. Take me back to my room.”
"Yes, sir."
Once seated in his wheelchair, Mr. Anderson gave Jake a faintly apologetic smile. “Young man, this old body’s reaching its limit. I’ll have to excuse myself now. Sorry if I wasn’t the best host. Make yourself at home.”
Jake slightly bowed, "Not at all, thank you. I was just leaving anyway—didn’t mean to disturb you. You have a good rest."
