Serena stormed forward, ready to fire back.
But before she could go off, a thought flashed through her mind—What’s the point in barking back at a mad dog? You’ve already been bitten.
Besides, she didn’t actually hate Sophia that much. No need to make a scene in a public mall. Not worth it, really.
So Serena let out a calm smile, voice steady: “So what if I got a sugar daddy? As long as I can drop cash on four designer bags at once, I’m good.”
With that, she turned gracefully and strutted off, bags in hand, leaving Sophia fuming behind her, furious enough to stomp the floor.
After trying on dresses for what felt like forever, Serena was already exhausted. That petty fight knocked out the last of her shopping mood.
