The cemetery sat on a wide expanse of smooth concrete, the kind of place that felt too grand for words. Serena couldn’t even guess how huge it was—she just knew it was massive.
Honestly, “majestic” was the only word that came to mind.
Surrounded by gleaming lake waters, the whole place looked dreamlike, almost like every gravestone was draped in a hazy veil. A small arched bridge was the only way in. The cemetery backed right into the mountains, with trees thick on either side. Even in deep autumn, it was still vibrant and green.
Towering peaks flanked the lake, curtain of fog curling around them, the vibe straight-up mystical.
From the layout to the scenery, it was clear—the person buried here wasn’t ordinary.
Around them, it was so still that the only thing breaking the silence was the occasional call of some unknown bird—sharp and mournful. The whole place radiated solemnity. Even the breeze felt sad.
Serena stood frozen, unsure what to do next.
