CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND THREE – HIDING SPOTS
The early morning mist clung to the ground as Cassie and Florian made their way to the train station. They moved cautiously, eyes darting to every shadow and unfamiliar face.
"Remember the plan," Florian murmured as they approached the station entrance. "If anything goes wrong, we meet at the rendezvous point."
Cassie nodded, her stomach churning with anxiety. As they entered the station, her breath caught in her throat. The security presence was overwhelming – uniformed guards patrolled the platforms, and additional checkpoints had been set up at every entrance.
"Karl," Florian growled softly. "He must have called in some favors."
Cassie squeezed his hand. "We knew this might happen. Time for Plan B."
They separated, moving to opposite ends of the station. Cassie ducked into a restroom, her heart pounding as she pulled out the supplies they'd prepared. With shaking hands, she applied makeup, drawing lines and wrinkles on her face. A gray wig completed the transformation, along wi
