Matt realized how broken Camden truly was. Despite her attempts to hide it, he could see glimpses of her pain seeping through her facade. He knew some of what had happened to her with the rogues in the woods, but the full story remained a mystery. Regret washed over him as he realized he hadn't pressed her for more information at the time, and now it felt like too much time had passed, and their bond wasn't the same as it had been then.
