Irene’s POV
He had been gone for a week now, but it still felt like yesterday. The pain was still like a fresh bite in my soul, I felt incomplete. I missed him.
The dreams weren’t back either. It was like he took everything with him when he left, like he ripped something off my heart.
I loved him. Too bad, I had fallen in love with the Wolf King. The one I thought it would never be possible with. I thought there was no chance, but here we were.
“Miss Irene catch it,” Tina called out to me. I looked up, too late too see she had threw a ball of balloon at me. We were training the she wolves' reflexes. But I had lost my focus and it drifted off to thinking of Kaius.
The water balloon landed on my head when I raised my hand too late and it burst and threw red color over me, messing me up. “Eishh.” I sucked air through my teeth.
The entire pack of she wolves went mute as they stared at me in shock. Seeing their leader miss and get messed up was quite embarrassing.
