"Just get the blood out of everywhere," Lazarus said grumpily as he practically hovered over me.
"I can handle it, Lazarus," I said. "I'm not a child. I'm the Beta."
Lazarus rolled his eyes. "Okay, fine. I agree with you on that. But, Karl 's son, your child, everyone in this pack is a child. Even if you're over 150 or 170, you are still a child to me, and so I will call you a child."
"Fine," I said, agreeing with him. "What do you think?" I asked him.
"About what?" he asked, looking clueless.
"The rogues," I answered solemnly.
"They're welcome. We need the population after all; so many died over this year. Why not?" he asked and left me in the field.
