Alexander's fingers trembled uncontrollably, and his heart pounded wildly. He suddenly turned and rushed into the room, frantically searching through everything. It was gone. Everything that was Elise's had disappeared. Before they left, Elise had shown no signs of acting strangely. Clutching his chest, Alexander's face turned pale as he stumbled toward the phone he had tossed carelessly onto the couch. He still refused to believe Elise had simply vanished. After all, she loved him so much. He convinced himself that she must be upset because he had chosen Alicia over her during the kidnapping. It was just an act to get his attention. Aaron's quiet sobs echoed in his ears as Alexander's hand shook while holding the phone. After several attempts, he finally opened their chat. "Where are you?" he typed. A bright red exclamation mark popped up immediately after he sent the message. She had blocked him. His eyes widened in shock, and his body trembled as panic instantly swallowed
