Lauren gritted her teeth, clearly annoyed by how sharply Charisse pressed her, but she couldn't just ignore it either.
"Olivia, you're done here," she said coldly. "From this moment on, you're no longer an employee of Luna Heights Hotel."
"Lauren, please, you've got to help me!" Olivia's voice cracked as she screamed in desperation, but Lauren didn't even glance back, turning on her heel and walking straight out of the break room.
Eliza nervously muttered, "Miss Walton, I'm gonna head out first," before slipping away like a frightened cat.
The rest of the staff, sensing the drama had ended, scattered quickly.
Soon, only Charisse and Olivia remained.
Olivia was drenched in cold sweat, her damp hair clinging messily to her cheeks. When she saw Charisse giving her a faint smile, a chill ran down her spine.
Charisse now looked calm, poised, radiating confidence. The panic she'd shown earlier had vanished without a trace.
