Tang Cheng held a brief meeting with the seven interns. As she stood up to leave, she called Le Su aside.
Le Su followed her out into the hallway. Tang Cheng gazed at her with an unusually gentle expression. "Le Su, I was a bit out of sorts when I chatted with Victor last time—I’d had too much to drink. I hope I didn’t scare you."
"Not at all, Director Cheng," Le Su shook her head.
"Oh? So why did Victor take you out to dinner that night? Are you two... close?" Tang Cheng couldn’t resist probing further.
