Le Su's eyes flew open in surprise. "Mom? You're back already? Why didn't you tell me sooner?"
"Your dad's company wrapped up a week early. He wanted to surprise you, so we kept it quiet," Aihua Xu chuckled. "What's wrong? Not happy to see us?"
"Of course I am!" Le Su laughed.
"Alright, we should get going. We've already inconvenienced the Vice President long enough," Aihua Xu said hurriedly, her voice muffled as if she were flagging down a taxi. "We've got too much luggage to chat now. Your dad's still struggling to hail a cab."
"Got it. Head home first—I'll be back this afternoon," Le Su replied.
