I sat in the corner of my private VIP lounge at Illusio, nursing my whiskey and staring at the amber liquid swirling lazily in the glass. The club was quiet, as it always was during the day, and I’d hoped that coming here would give me some peace and quiet. I could think, maybe even figure out what the hell I was supposed to do about the Alicia situation.
Drinking my problems away in the middle of the day wasn’t exactly the picture of stability, but right now, stability was the last thing on my mind.
Instead, I was on my third drink, and if anything, I was more confused than ever.
I’d kissed her. And it wasn’t some accidental brush of the lips, either. No, I’d kissed her because I wanted to, because for the past few days, I couldn’t Alicia out of my mind. It’s like she is ingrained in my brain. Her smile, her frown, her snarky comebacks.
