The past few days had been a blur. I needed time to think, to breathe, and most importantly, to figure out what the hell I was going to do. My phone buzzed constantly, Daniel’s name flashing across the screen in calls and texts, but I ignored them all. I wasn’t ready to face him—or anyone, really.
It wasn’t supposed to be this hard. Making decisions had always come naturally to me, whether in business or in life. But this… this was different. Daniel had been my anchor for the past three years. Letting go of him felt like cutting off a part of myself. And yet, every time I thought about our relationship, I felt something missing. Something I hadn’t noticed until Nicholas came crashing into my life, turning everything upside down.
