CHAPTER II - 14

Ryan walked into the dining room and the emptiness glared at her. Breakfast was set on the round table but no one was there except for Freddie who was at a corner. It was Sunday and every Sunday, she had breakfast with Alpha Luca. Where could he be? Ryan wondered and pulled out a chair. She sat and kept looking around but didn't catch a glimpse of the alpha. "Excuse me!" She called the attention of Freddie, the chef who was walking away from the dining room. "Where is the boss?" she demanded from the chef. "He's in his chamber." replied Freddie. "Alpha Luca requested that his breakfast be brought to him in his chamber that morning." he added. "What?" blurted Ryan. The chef nodded and left the spot. Ryan uncovered the plates before her and began serving herself. While she was eating alone, she wondered whether Alpha Luca was avoiding her.
