"Isn't that right?" Elena's eyes grew cold. "If I remember correctly, when Anna had exams, you would personally cook and coax her into eating. But for me, it's just the servants? Is this dismissive tone your way of brushing me off?"
"Elena! Is this how you talk to your mother?" Malachi couldn't hold back anymore. "Your mother hasn't been feeling well these past few days, and here you are, being so ungrateful. Do you even care at all?"
Elena had no interest in wasting her breath arguing with them. She had long understood that no matter what, her parents would always take Anna's side.
A bitter smile tugged at the corners of her lips. If an outsider saw this, they'd probably think she was the one who was adopted.
