Chapter 1208
Sergio yelped in fright and rolled out of the way, falling straight onto the smelly, wet floor. He dove just in time to dodge Matthew's brick. Then, he flipped over and was up on his feet in a flash.
When he saw Matthew wasn't coming after him anymore, he breathed a sigh of relief, only to realize his knife had dropped. He stooped down to pick it up. As he wielded it with shaking hands, he kept a wary eye on Matthew.
Matthew held the brick, coldly staring at Sergio. "Don't think you got away. I just slowed down to avoid killing you."
Sergio glanced at Hutson's body on the ground, then gritted his teeth and stated, "You're ruthless. There's no way you're letting me walk away."
Matthew locked eyes with Sergio, speaking in a way that was hard to read his emotions. "The reason is simple. It's not the right time to kill you yet.
"Honestly, you had the chance to run. The fish market has plenty of escape routes. But you didn't, and I know why."
A hint of worry flickered in Sergio's eye
