Cormac sat up straight, frowning. "So they came prepared?"
Cassius nodded eagerly. "Absolutely. They're using our territory as a stepping stone, aiming to control the ginger trade across the state, and then nationwide. They're clearly targeting you, sir. It's serious—that's why I came to ask for your guidance."
Cormac fell silent, then snapped his fingers at the woman
