#Chapter 239: By My Side
Looking around the lobby, I sought Timothy's reassuring presence, but he was nowhere to be seen. A sense of unease prickled at the edges of my consciousness as I turned to Aria.
"What happened to Timothy?" I asked, my voice breaking.
Aria's expression shifted, a furrow forming on her brow. "He was taken to the hospital to get his wound checked out," she replied, her tone laden with concern.
The image of Timothy's injured shoulder flashed before my eyes, sending a chill through me. I swallowed hard.
"Is he okay? Is it serious?"
Aria placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "He's going to be fine, Evie. Let's go to the hospital and check on him."
Relief washed over me at Aria's words, and I let her guide me toward the exit.
As we hurried out of the police station, Lucas bid us farewell, offering words of reassurance. "I’m glad you're alright, Evie. Take care."
