ARIEL'S POV
I made my way back to the mansion, my mind swirling with a mix of frustration, fear, and confusion. As I entered our room, the familiar surroundings offered little comfort, and the tension of the earlier confrontation was still hanging heavy in the air. I collapsed onto the bed, exhaustion weighing down on me both physically and emotionally.
I closed my eyes, trying to calm the storm of emotions raging inside me. But sleep remained elusive, my mind replaying the events of the evening over and over again. I heard the door creak open, and I tensed, expecting Luke to enter the room.
Sure enough, his footsteps approached, and I felt the bed dip as he sat down beside me. "Ariel," he began softly, his voice filled with concern. "Are you okay?"
I sighed, turning to look at him. "I'm fine, Luke. Just tired," I replied, trying to keep my tone neutral.
