Chapter 19
"Liliana, I've got some stuff to deal with at work. I'll head off first."
"Let me walk you out," Liliana offered right away.
They were supposed to grab dinner together and have a chat about the dos and don'ts in the entertainment biz. But then Wilson suddenly showed up, throwing their plans off track.
It had honestly been a while since she got to really talk with Trisha. Earlier, Trisha had shot her a few curious looks, quietly asking what was going on between her and Wilson.
Liliana figured she owed her an explanation sometime soon—otherwise, Trisha might overthink it.
"No need, you two keep shopping. I drove here, I can get back just fine," Trisha replied.
Liliana hesitated, not quite ready to say goodbye that fast.
Assuming she was worried, Wilson said coolly, "Lucas, take Miss Flynn home."
"I'm on it!" Lucas grinned, clearly delighted to help, and promised he'd safely deliver her.
Trisha barely held back an eye-roll. She originally left early to avoid listening to this guy babble.
