Wilson flung his pen onto the table, startling the other judges around him, who all immediately shifted their attention to their big boss.
A judge nearby leaned toward him and asked in a low voice, "Mr. Clark, are we ready to start?"
"Maybe Mr. Clark isn't impressed with this one. Should we just have her leave?"
Wilson turned his cold gaze on the chatterbox and said darkly, "Have you been glued to that seat so long your brain's rotting?"
The judge instantly got the message and started wiping the sweat off his forehead in panic. "Sorry, Mr. Clark. Totally my fault—I misspoke."
Wilson looked over at Liliana again and picked up the script.
"You like this script?" he asked her.
Liliana glanced nervously at the other judges breaking out in cold sweat. No way did she want them to figure out her connection to Wilson and think she'd used her status to win the part.
