Back home, Wilson carried the drunken Liliana into the house, first taking off his jacket that she'd messed up.
He asked the housekeeper to run some hot water and helped Liliana into a warm bath. After he showered himself, the housekeeper had already tucked her into bed.
Even in her sleep, Liliana was tossing around a bit. Wilson gently brushed her cheek, a hint of indulgence flashing in his eyes.
Good thing he'd shown up at that booth in time. But thinking back to what he'd seen there, the corner of his mouth twitched, almost smiling.
Oddly enough, seeing her act up didn't annoy him—it just made her seem even cuter.
The next morning, sunlight spilled softly through the windows.
Liliana squinted as she slowly woke up. Wilson leaned on an elbow, quietly watching her the whole time.
