She hopped into a golf cart with Xavier by her side and drove across the golf course, heading toward the distant mountain. Then she turned to the back of the cart, grabbed two hoes, and handed one to Xavier. He took it, turning it over in his hands and inspecting it from every angle. Confusion flickered across his face.
