Alexander rejected the idea without hesitation.
"So what now? We're not seriously gonna issue some public statement, right? I mean, who even cares that much about this kinda thing?"
Nathaniel shrank back a little, a bit nervous. He couldn't shake the feeling that Elizabeth was giving him a weird look.
"Actually, there's a really easy way to settle this," Elizabeth said, smiling slightly.
"Liz, don't keep us in suspense. If this were someone else, I wouldn't even be stressing over it."
Alexander looked genuinely worried. He hadn't expected things to spiral like this. With her mentor's recent passing, he didn't want her getting dragged into more mess.
"It's simple. Elena and Hannah? Total enemies—they'll never be on the same page. As long as Hannah keeps pestering you, Elena's bound to jump in. Then we just sit back and let them fight it out
