Linda stunned me with her words. Did Helen buy the necklace herself? Linda leaned in to take a closer look. "It's not the same one, but it's definitely similar. The pink diamond on this is beautiful. Did Felix give it to you?" I was utterly confused, but I didn't let it show on my face. I slowly nodded. "He gave it to me." Linda looked at me in understanding. "Felix is quite the caring man. He knows you were angry because of this back then. "Still, he was so mean. The two of you have the same birthday, but he gave Amber her birthday gift half a month in advance. Yet, he only gave you the excuse that he forgot your gift." I froze. Linda's words now clarified what happened that year. Helen had bought the jewelry set for herself. Felix had never given her a birthday present. What made her lie to me? "You're not angry anymore, right? Your necklace alone could buy the brand that Amber's old necklace came from. She was boasting to you about a cheap gift that Felix gave her."
