Just as the spoon neared her mouth, Judy instinctively leaned back. "I'll do it myself."
Clark frowned and handed her the bowl.
Avoiding his gaze, Judy lowered her head and sipped the soup slowly.
"The wound on your foot seems to be infected. You shouldn't go to work for the next few days."
Judy paused. She wouldn't have noticed if Clark hadn't mentioned it. Her healing foot was now rewrapped with gauze.
They came back late last night, so she knew who had taken care of it. "But I'm in charge of dealing with Reid Incorporated."
"We'll talk about it after you recover." Clark sighed.
"But Reid Incorporated—"
"I'll handle it. You don't need to worry about that," Clark cut her off.
Judy nodded. Recently, Clark seemed to have changed his attitude toward her. Whether it was informing her of Lance's death or rushing to her side last night, it all seemed unbelievable.
