George gave Alexander a sly look. "Alexander, there's gotta be some misunderstanding between Samantha and Sophia. But hey, we're all from the same business circle. Once it's cleared up, we should stick together, right?"
"I really like that suite," Samantha replied calmly, her eyes cool. "Sorry, can't help you."
George quickly added, "Well, it doesn't *have* to be that room. Alexander, you've booked out the whole place. Just let my niece have one of those suites for my sake. I'd owe you big time."
Alexander said mildly, "Uncle George, my wife doesn't like noise. That's the only reason she had me book up the place. If she's okay with it, then I don't mind."
Samantha's gaze swept playfully toward Alexander—classic move. He'd just dumped the uncomfortable part right on her shoulders with a smile.
Fine, you don't wanna upset anyone? Then I'll make it *really* hard for you to stay neutral.
George's expression tightened. "Mrs. Perkins, if you could just give us some leeway—"
