I nodded in acknowledgement before powering down all of my applications and shutting my devices off as she watched my every move with intrigue. There was still an awkward tension lingering between us from earlier. If I wasn't a piece of shit, I would wish to take back my earlier actions and think with the right fucking head so we wouldn't be in our current predicament and there was at least an ounce of civility between us.
