Chapter 212
Calvin suddenly grew wistful. He said, "You know, it just hit me that we never actually took a trip together. You must regret that too, don't you, Jas?"
Jasmine scoffed. "Regret? Hardly."
She didn't see the point in dwelling on the past. Whatever she and Calvin had was long gone.
Calvin sighed and held out a bag to her. "It gets cold at night. I wasn't sure if you packed enough, so I picked up a jacket for you. It's pink—your favorite color."
Jasmine stared at him, her expression icy. She didn't reach for the bag.
Calvin said, "Jas, I know you're not with Joshua yet. But if you're open to him, why can't you be open to me, too? We're both trying to win you over. We should be on equal footing here. It's not fair for you to play favorites."
Jasmine scoffed. "Equal footing? Don't kid yourself. He never hurt me."
Calvin patiently replied, "You're right. I was a bastard back then. But it was just bad timing. I wasn't in a good place. I was still messed up over my last relationship.
