Prescott narrowed his eyes, a cold sneer tugging at his lips. "You really think I'd believe that?"
Sure, the ring wasn't cheap-looked exactly like something he'd design. But giving it to a woman? As some kind of romantic token? Hell no.
He never had time for women, let alone the interest in sweet-talking one with something like this.
"You have something I gave you, too. A jade pendant-it's around your neck," Camila murmured, voice hoarse. Her throat still ached from when he'd grabbed her earlier, and god, was she pissed. She must've owed him big time in a past life.
Prescott shot her a wary glance, then tugged his robe aside-and just like she said, there it was. A piece of jade.
He blinked, a flicker of surprise flashing in his dark eyes.
When the hell did that get there?
The jade was clearly an antique and worth a small fortune. No way it was just some random trinket.
Could she be telling the truth? Was it really something she gave him? Was she actually his girlfriend?
