"Paul, just spit it out. Don't beat around the bush."
Prescott stopped and turned, his sharp eyes easily cutting through Paul's hesitation.
Paul adjusted his glasses. Since he'd been called out, he dropped the act and quickly laid out what happened at the Imperial Crest Hotel.
Once he finished, Prescott's expression didn't change. Paul had no clue what he was thinking and couldn't help feeling a bit uneasy.
After all, Sullivan was technically one of their rivals. One operated in the light, the other in the shadows-it was only a matter of time before they clashed.

"Prescott, did I mess up?" Paul asked, really not sure anymore.
He'd grown a lot over the past two years, but compared to Prescott-who was a natural-born shark with that Somerset blood-Paul was still green.
