Camila Harrington shook her head. “I’m not hungry, Willa. You eat.”
“Miss Harrington, maybe you should head back with Willa for now,” Paul Hartwell said quietly, glancing at her. “If Mr. Ellington comes out, I’ll call you right away, okay?”
Paul wasn’t just being polite—he was truly worried. Ever since they saw that cold, unfamiliar side of Prescott Ellington back in the room, Paul had been on edge. What if the man who woke up wasn’t really Prescott anymore? What if he hurt Camila?
Until they were sure what kind of Prescott had resurfaced, the safest choice was to keep Camila away.
But Camila just looked at Paul, then shook her head. “No, I’m staying. I’ll wait for him here.”
“But…”
“Drop it, Paul,” Beckett Fraser cut in, stopping him mid-sentence. “Let her be.”
Paul looked at Camila once more but kept quiet after that.
The silence that followed was heavy.
No one spoke again.
An hour ticked by before the lab door finally opened. Theron stepped out, and before anyone could crowd around
