Chapter 73 You Are Eileen, Not Elaine
After giving Agatha a bowl of broth, Elaine lay down next to her. A metallic taste lingered in her mouth, and even though she felt like she might be sick, she resisted the urge to vomit. Her chest hurt deeply, but lying down brought a little relief.
Agatha snuggled up to her, whispering, "Elaine, I notice you've lost weight. Being excessively thin isn't attractive. Are you dieting like those young girls again?"
As she said this, she grabbed Elaine's arm to gauge its size. Her frown grew more pronounced. "You're much too thin."
Agatha's hand was cool to the touch due to her low body temperature, but Elaine still experienced a long-missed warmth and comfort from that simple gesture. It had been ages since anyone genuinely inquired about her well-being or noticed her weight loss.
With her voice quivering and tears threatening to fall, she said, "Agatha, you're mixing things up again because of your age. Your granddaughter's name is Elaine. Who is Eileen?"
