Callum looked at Nadia's pale, weary face. Had she just woken up?
Her eyes were badly swollen, and her bare, makeup-free face was surprisingly tinged with a flush of pink.
"Nadia, was this all your doing?"
Callum barged in, cloaked in a chill. His handsome face was frosty with anger, and his eyes blazed with restrained fury as he questioned her coldly.
Nadia leaned her head against the doorframe, utterly exhausted. Her head throbbed painfully, and his abrupt interrogation only worsened her irritation.
She thought he was talking about the fire she set at Memento Garden last night.
Didn't he say he had gifted it to her? Was she supposed to report every decision she made about it?
Did he come all the way here just to hold her accountable?
The fire wasn't big, but it definitely made a scene.
She tugged at the corner of her lips, too drained to argue.
"Yes, I did it. Didn't you already know? So many people saw it—I can't deny it even if I wanted to."
