The weekend went by quietly.
Calliope's inheritance papers still hadn't been sorted out.
But she did hear that Lucien and Angelina hadn't gotten married after all.
That extravagant wedding worth millions? Canceled. Just like that.
When she first heard the news, Calliope was genuinely surprised for a split second.
But then, it all made sense.
Lucien loved Angelina so much-of course he'd want to give her something grander, something one-of-a-kind, something just for them.
There's no way he'd let her make do with a ceremony originally meant for someone else.
